Vegetative cultivated plant derived from wild population represented by this observation Small shrublet, 0.8 m wide by 0.6 m tall. Stems succulent, pubescent. Leaves up to 50 mm long by 40 mm wide, finely pubescent, especially abaxially (young growth completely pubescent). Images show from left to right: vegetative branch, foliage arrangement and venation, leaf, and leaf pubescence, followed by stem at node and stem between nodes - showing pubescence. This plant is grown on from the chromosome voucher collected on Raoul Island in 2004 from this site -, it has 2n = 66 chromosomes (Murray & de Lange 2013).
