Three year-old plant which has bucked the trends without so far dying of various diseases or being munched to death, rather thriving in our vegetable garden. I was given the original plant by Graeme Hill (when he worked for Radio Live) following a Radio Interview about New Zealand coastal scurvy grasses that I did for him in 2013. I think it hailed from Mahuki Island (near Aotea / Great Barrier Island). Either way, unusually for this highly threatened species that seems susceptible to just about every brassicaceous pest, pathogen we have introduced into this country it has thrived. These images I post to show the inflorescences, flowers (note the four stamens), and distinctive fruits (silicles that are scarcely notched - only when fully mature - this is diagnostic for this species) and seeds.
