It fell from a tree and seemed stunned. I don’t know if it was injured. Shortly after this seeing this one, I saw another Anolis equestris in a different section of Tropical Park.

1.5cm from head to tail (excluding antennae). Fluorescent under 395nm UV flashlight. Found under same rock as a Jerusalem cricket and centipede. All were placed in a microscope slide box to determine length (last photo).

Found at night at Grant Grove Village (6500ft elevation) in Kings Canyon National Park. Found under Sequoia and pine trees using a 395nm UV flashlight. Found at same time and location as Parcipromus gigantoarboricolus (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/78319454). All photos here are of the same individual, which is the only one I saw with the yellow coloring and dark dorsal stripe.

Found at Grant Grove Village (6500ft elevation) in Kings Canyon National Park. Altogether I found >40 in a 20’x10’ area under Sequoia and pine trees at night (8:30 pm) with a 395nm UV flashlight.

Measured 2cm long, found under tree stump. This one was ~0.5 miles from the others I have found. Confirmed UV fluorescence, but was unable to see bioluminescence.

California spotted owl
This female spotted owl raised a few broods of chicks. Unfortunately, a destructive wildfire burned her habitat. This once abundant species is in trouble. It's such a sad situation for such a beautiful owl.
