edit: spore print” attempt pictures added. Flesh went slimy, some of the moisture ran on paper and left a faint brownish stain.
Smell faintly of sugar and egg whites. Slimy top cap, and slimy flesh when peeled. Spore prints to come, slight yellow hint to gills when backlit.

I've never seen this behavior before. I thought it was a turtle at first glance. It stayed in this position until I had completely passed by, them emerged an flew toward the clutch observed nearby.

Ponderously and noisily flew over to land directly in front of me while I was moving through the brush. Near twilight, in brigalow-type eucalypt and acacia forest near dry riverbed. Lots of other life in the area, from macropods to bats to crab spiders. Sighted in the nearby sister-station to Bimblebox Nature Refuge (https://bimblebox.org/).
