I've never seen this colour combo of iridescence on all the scarabs I've observed on the Tiwi Islands throughout my entire life growing up here.

My pics don't do it justice, the white parts were almost an iridescent silver colour.

Resting on an understorey plant. At a quick glance, I initially thought it was a bird dropping. The white hairs give it the appearance of being infected with an entomopathogenic fungi, maybe as a deterrent to predators...? Definitely the most amazing cerambycid I've ever seen!

This is the first time I've noticed/photographed a bee like this. They caught my attention as several were feeding and flying about a single flowering shrub (Styphelia ericoides).
