Photographed some Utricularia striata and Utricularia gibba side by side to show some of the differences. Record is for the Utricularia striata though.

Fruit about 2 cm in diameter. Naturalized in a brushy field. Photographed in February and June 2019.

Laurel-leaf greenbrier. Also known as "blaspheme-vine", for reasons readily apparent on examining its large, woody, thorny stems.

Cedar swamp

Female tree forming fruits! Also, winter leaf bud getting set to break bud. Really tricky to find any leaves for identification marker.

Pine Barrens thoroughwort. Globally vulnerable, but this may be the largest population in New Jersey, a whole field of it.

Quite a few here, all female. Some 20 feet tall. Cephaleuros lichen on leaves.
