A group of about seven immature albatross followed our ship for hours.
Diagnostics: lanky snow white bird. But always identified by yellow bill contra black. Golden buff planes on head neck and back.
Habitats-Damp grassland, peripheral of canals of lakes and reservoirs.
Food- Insects like beetles, Grasshopper.
Status-Resident and common migrants.
Most frequent of the two species I saw today. I take it this means they roost somewhere nearby, or at least in the country
Pretty sure about this one as well
Not too sure if this animal would be A.apus or A.pallidus
Perhaps Pallid swift? It favors A.pallidus more than A.apus, at least to me
Rarely get this good of a photo of a Swift. A Hooded crow is in the background
Sighting and photos (c) magpie_man.
