After finding the bluebird feather in a heavily burned area, I ventured out into a less populated grassy area, that's only inhabitants were towering trees and small bushes, compared to where I found the bluebird feather, which was heavily densified by trees, bushes, shrubs, small plants, and grass.

This larvae is of an unidentified species, guessed to be either a crane-fly or some form of other insect possibly. This specimen was just under 1 inch in length and 1/8 in width. It was about 3 inchs under water in a local pond. Two specimens were found and both resembled the same structure and coloration. If you include the head, the larvae is made up of 12 segments. Its body is a dark black.

I searched the surrounding area thoroughly, but this was the only feather of any bird that I could find. It was laying under a burned tree, that was sprouting with new growth. It was very small, and when I picked it up, the wind swiftly knocked it away from me, never to be seen again. The feather was roughly 5 centimeters in length.

Descripción

Apologies for the poor image quality and grain. Observed around twilight. I increased the exposure and brightness on these photos after they were taken.
At least 2 individuals were visible at the time, possibly 3.
All photos are believed to be of the same individual.
Roughly house cat sized, observed seemingly digging at least one hole and eating plums off of the ground.
This individual came within at least 2 meters of the camera multiple times and seemed to indicate curiosity. It was not aggressive, but not shy either. No audible sounds were made by any foxes other than quiet rustling. These animals seemed to remain relatively calm.
They seemed relatively small for gray foxes, so they may be younger.
Scat appeared at least 4 days prior to observation. Scat is in the same immediate area as observation. Scream-like non-human noises were heard in the same area around 7 days before these animals were spotted. Shallow holes/burrows were found as well. I don't have any photos of said holes, however I can add some in the near future if necessary.
I am fairly sure of the species.
