Shortly after we lost a fairly large atrox off the road
SAGU Road Survey 081924
Young fresh specimens had a lightly floral odor and sweet tasting flesh; the odor & taste were not experienced later that evening (still floral, but faint); appeared mostly pure white in situ, but developed pinkish-orange-brown discolorations; fruit bodies were dry, but the cap is slightly viscid when wet.
On spruce roots, mild fungal odor, next to a stream
Growing near lots of decaying conifer wood, on the edge of a wet area.
No odor radish taste Under Spruce
Under spruce and fir, slowly staining blue
