This is the tallest Rhus trilobata I remember seeing at San Jacinto Mountain.

We saw zillions of other patches of R. trilobata, but they were the normal low shrubby plants.

This was the first large field of A. glandulosa we came across going north on the bike trail from the vicinity of Alvin Meadow. We saw numerous other fields of A. glandulosa.

Flowers, green fruit, orange fruit, and red fruit, all on the same plant at the same time!

On very sandy soil, steep slope.

Looks like this ocotillo came back from the dead.
