One plant, growing in damp gully draining fellfield
Leaves rather rigid, not soft like C. spectabilis. Could it be C. spectabilis x C. semicordata? Lots of C. spectabilis nearby but no C. semicordata on a quick search.
@janegosden
Not sure about this. Is it the leaves of the Lobelia ionantha?

Growing on the edge of Lake Rotoroa in area occasionally inundated.
Leaves no more than 3 mm long, stems quadrangular, seeds with long ribs.
Growing partly immersed on the lake edge. Note prostrate habit and reddish colour.
