I don't know what kind of Bumble bee this is...could be Half Black but they look honey colored with an incomplete yellow T2. I saw two of them in the 45 minutes I wandered the park taking pictures of any bumble bee I saw. I took 14 pictures of six species including two of this kind TBD. They were both in Crown Vetch. This park was planted with Crown vetch and a clover lawn and native plants especially in the big old former Phalen Creek bed east of the park, with a big woods nearby.
On dead oak or other hardwood. Very soft and flexible.
