Took a stroll around the place before tonight's predicted rain and high wind.
Track in drying sand at tank. Appeared to be feline to me.
A series of tracks that cross the ice, continue along the side of the pond and up the bank, and seem to converge where there is scat and urine. These are in soft old snow approx 2' deep.
Mitten: 8.5'L x 4.5'W
Bark of 1.5 in. diam. breast height feral Garden Pear (Pyrus communis) in wet Oregon Ash (Fraxinus latifolia) forest, about 4 to 6 feet above ground level.

Incisor feeding on youngish white pine cambium, ranging from 12-72” off ground. No obvious associated tracks. Pictures show very fresh sign with bark chips below (less than a week based on snowfall history), sign from earlier this fall or winter, and sign from years past with heavy pitch covering. At least six examples working quarter mile square area.
???
My phone was having a white and gold dress moment.
Marks on only the Ash trees

I wanted to submit it anyway, though.

I recorded this prior to learning about proper and useful ways of recording tracks. Apologies for lack of scale, context, etc.
