A female Common Whitetail was ovipositing near the edge of the wetlands pond and while doing so it was being buzzed by a male Eastern Pondhawk. The male Common Whitetail was not present in the immediate area. But the female Common Whitetail ignored the Eastern Pondhawk and all other species of dragonflies at the site focused on its own activity.
