Habitat: under mixed mature western hemlock, Douglas-fir and western redcedar, raised ground in a moist seepage area.
Riparian cottonwood habitat. Spores:8.5-11.2 x 3-4.5 µ
Spores enlongated Q=2, angular, and nodulose, some triangular, very variable, with large nodules.
Spores 9-12 x (5-7); Cystidia large and voluminous (50-60) x (16-20), some with crystals. (Inocybe phaeocystidiosa, seems to me, has cystidia that is slender)
On rotten conifer wood.
Cap 3 cms., covered wit hlong hairs. Gills gray brown with a fringed edge.
Spores nodulose (8-9.5) x ( 6.0-6.7); pleurocystidia sparse 50 x 14; cheilocystidia abundant (34-36) x (13-16)
Habitat: mineral soil on edge of old road. Upper surface: 0.5-3cm, deep cup shape becoming expanded and shallow. Underside: pale grey becoming lighter toward base, finely tomentose. Flesh: thin, white, brittle. Stem: ~1cm, white, fluted. Spores: 19.1-22.3 x 11.1-12.3 µ. Asci: 8-spored, 280-300 x 15-18 µ. Paraphyses cylindric, widened at the tips.
