Is it possible the smaller worm is Amnythas?
It does not exhibit the "thrashing about" behavior, but it was brought to me in a jar and has been in there for a while.
ID confirmed via photo and video evidence sent to researcher.
Separating daffodils and found this huge worm! Is this one of those invasive jumping worms I've heard about?
Very active earthworm! I think this is the one I saw last night, it moved so fast seemed like it was scurrying!
Santa Ynez Canyon
Not sure that this is an actual earthworm as it was in a spillway waterway and not underground...it gradually moved under a rock when I started photographing it
De hecho considero que no es lombriz, mi mamá me comenta que mi padre había encontrado una especie de huevos por el jardín, considerando este caso, pienso que puede ser una especie de serpiente o algo similar
Can anyone confirm this species? And if confirmed, how to I manage these invasive worms.
Found in the soil of a houseplant I received.
Young worm with smooth clitellum and slight ridge along body. Picked up with stick and it held itself up enough to form a figure 8, unlike how a nightcrawler would hang limp.
I apologize for the poor photos, I panicked seeing it and accidentally squished it.
