ID tentative.
I was there to check on odonata. But as I pulled in, I couldn't help noticing all of the redbud. I'd been to a park in another county chasing a report of elfins - no luck. With all of the redbud, I wondered whether there was a chance.
I looked over the redbuds around the parking lot carefully; all I got was a sore neck and a Red Admiral (208037110).
As I headed for the trail, I noticed a little brown something. Could it be?
It wouldn't stay still and was an expert at making sure that I would be fighting the sun.
Finally, I got this one fairly recognizable shot.
Fingers crossed! This would be a lifer. But it is what it is.
Here: another set of lousy shots, but from another side of the lake.
Spotted in greenery beside the parking lot. But it kept moving before I could get a decent shot. Finally I made a desperation shot; good thing, because I lost it after that.
