Flushed by the Peregrine - didn't see how it ended. Jack Snipe possibly?
Can’t get close enough for a better photograph, but when it flies, definite “heron” neck. Almost certainly a cattle egret. Could potentially be a little egret but seems very unlikely in Yorkshire.
With a tasty lugworm prey.
