The nature walk on Thursday, September 29th was successful and provided me with plenty of natural observations of animals and plants. I went to the pine tree reservation as well as a portion of the reservoir to make observations. The weather was nice, clear skies and about 63 degree weather. On this walk, I first noticed a quick squirrel that felt somewhat threatened by my presence and quickly ran away onto a tree. There was a multitude of ground plants and trees that scattered the area. Near the reservoir, there were colorful flowers and more vibrant wildlife, including bees and other bugs. Scattered on the reservoir, however, there was a multitude of aquatic animals and birds. There were herons and turtles perched on rocks in the reservoir. The good weather made it much easier to complete the assignment and was frankly enjoyable.
