Nature Walk 9/29/22

I went to Houghton Garden on Thursday around 3 pm. It was a beautiful fall day with low 60s and sunny. The whole walk, from my dorm and back, was around 1.5 miles. I noticed along the way that the trees were changing beautiful colors and really enjoyed that. Right away on the nature walk, I saw something really intriguing that turned out to be Fan-Shaped Jelly Fungus. I never saw that kind of fungus before and I was amazed by it. I saw a lot of cool green plants. I saw a lot of squirrels probably getting their acorns stored and preparing for the winter time. It was refreshing to see that nature is all around us. I had a newfound for squirrels, which are an animal you see all the time yet they have a complex system that they follow in their habitat. Seeing many different organisms coming together coexisting put nature into a new light for me.
