I have been playing with the web site since getting involved with what looks like a great organization and opportunity to be with like minded people. I have been listing observations and looking at ones others have put up. I seem to be talking about these things to most anyone I happen to be with at any one time.
Looking forward to fun and education.
I guess one of the things I have reacted to is one of my pet peeves which has to do with common names for species. When I learn what something is called, that becomes, THE CORRECT NAME, and I don't like it if someone or a web page's data base indicates another name is correct. I will just have live with it, I guess

I was comparing the possible choices given by the data base when I put in blue-eyed grass in the search box and when I got to the CALFLORA description of S. bellum, I found one of my pictures as the example of what it should look like. Too much fun.

I was out with fellow iNaturalists today trying to stay dry but not really caring because of having too much fun. While I like to go out on my own when I am taking pictures, I am finding it a great boost in knowledge when going out in a bunch. I am directed toward many things I would not have seen on my own.
