I looked at my wife's botanical library and noticed Penstemons by Robert Nold, the photos by Panayoti Kelaidis are useful. It is written for a rock garden audience but would be useful to a naturalist. We also had a copy of Northwest Penstemons - I didn't realize we had it! An excellent book as I mainly roam in the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks for the other resources, especially the key. Appreciate your help in confirming many of my Penstemon IDs.
