Field Journal 5: Roundleaf Greenbrier

Date: March 29, 2021
Location: John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve, Narragansett Rhode Island, USA
Time: 12:45 pm- 1:00pm EST
Habitat: rocky, woods, it was a place that had hiking trails, so there were a lot of people walking around.

In the two locations that I observed, the Roundlead Greenbrier was abundant in both and by far the most dominant species in both of these areas. It had a lot of sharp thorns around it and was pretty thin and green. It seemed to be very much entangled with itself, and it did not seem where this was coming from out of the ground because of how clumped and clustered it was together. They seemed to be located near the trees that were observed and close to the edge of the trail, close to where people walk at which is interesting.
