Subsection Aegilops Complex in the Aegean Sea Area and Eastern Mediterranean

Here I listed the species of Subsection Aegilops:

Quercus ithaburensis subsp. macrolepis (Kotschy) Hedge & Yalt. status=accepted; Chorology: Mediterranean

Quercus vallonea Kotschy. (=Quercus ithaburensis subsp. macrolepis) status=synonym; Chorology: Aegean; This should be considered as a new subspecies: Quercus ithaburensis subsp. vallonea

Quercus brantii Lindl. status=accepted ;Chorology: Anatolian-East Mediterranean

Unfortunately, there is not enogh evidence and botanica material, so that the species can't be described or separated exactly.
I would prefer using Section Aegilops for all Quercus aegilops/ithaburensis/macrolepis.
As you see, someone has to clear all the names and make it much more easier to understand which name is used for which plant.
Comment what you think about it. How should the names be used?
And please add Section Aegilops - if you agree. You don't have to.
I'll try to collect a lot of acorns and leafs and maybe try to write a paper how they should be seperated.
I hope this list helps you understand a little bit better Quercus morphology and taxonomy :-)
