Yesterday, I walked around neighborhoods near BC, and I ventured towards Hammond Park. The weather was beautiful, sunny with a chill. It has begun to smell like fall, which I find to be very nostalgic and calming, so I particularly enjoyed this nature walk. During my walk, I looked for different types of plants and found it very interesting how quickly I noticed variety in the plants around me. I found examples of at least 3 of the 4 main groups of plants. One byrophyta, which was a moss. I think I found at least one polypodiopsida in my time on my walk, which was the Garlic Mustard plant. I also found two angiosperms, which were the Pachysandra and Spindles. The spindles were flowering with some sort of fruit or berry, while the Pachysandra was not; but when identified, it appeared to be a flowering plant. The final two observations I found were both trees, one of which I could not tell if it was an evergreen or not, and another tree.
