Habitat: Backyards, small fields, lakeshore and adjoining small marsh, forested town park
Several Grackles high in a small deciduous tree, tree was in small nature park on the edge of the lake
Several individuals flitting around in several yards, flying from the ground to low in the trees nearby, observed mainly in yards
Often observed and heard individuals, both on the ground and in shrubs, observed one individual bathing, saw several throughout different habitats, both in the small patches of forest in town, as well as in neighborhood backyards
Observed and heard several in a marshy area on the edge of the lake, distinctive calls were on full display
Heard several throughout my walk, though couldn't immediately locate these particular individuals, habitat was small town backyards
Observed a female on a small decaying tree deciduous tree in the local nature park, she flitted up and down the trunk and then was startled by my movement and flew off,
Saw a small flock in a buckthorn in a neighborhood backyard, stopped close to the flock and tried out my spishing technique, no luck!
Observed a large flock on a dock in Lake Champlain at the local marina, 50 or more individuals
Saw more Buffleheads! This time I observed a male and female pair and a lone female, the female was in flight and her white plumage was on full display, both were observed in or over Lake Champlain
Heard several individuals and observed 1 in the lower regions of a small maple in a neighborhood backyard
