Smartweeds are underdogs of the plant world. They're described as weeds and difficult to comprehend. They are only "weeds" because we screwed up the environment and moved plants far from their natural communities. I think Smartweeds are beautiful plants and sure, getting to know them is challenging, but worth the effort. The other cool thing I like about Smartweeds is that many of them seem to have evolved along with animals, especially mammals like Bison and Beaver-- two of my favorite animals.
