The white berries from last year have turned black, and the new leaves and developing flowers seem unusually bumpy, flowers not developing properly - fused to new leaves. ? See photo 5 and look at the ends where you would expect flowers to be starting - instead you see misshapen leaves and tips. ? plant virus, pathogen, pest?

Super-soft leaves, droopy, fat, arching catkins. Sorry for blurry shot. Based on the rounded leaf tip, narrow leaf base, and the felty quality (both top and bottom), guessing scoulers.

Native plant garden at the school. Note three thin lanceolate leaves below flower head - petals that have been nibbled on by something... The sinuses in the main leaf are black - didn't notice that until I got back. Unsure if insect or?

Stipe 'snaps' when bent. Things that were missed first time around - Need to verify substrate (wood or soil?), and get better shots of stipe/attachment, smells. Note white spored (photo 2) amyloid rxn for spores (photo 3), UV glows blue (photo 4), ellipsoid spores, long pointed cystidia (photo 5-6, 1 div=1um) odd attachment of spores - 1/2 way up? - to basidia (photo 7-8, photo 7, 1 div=1 um, photo 8 1 div = 10 um)
