At 2:21, Mikey Lutmerding called out “small gull coming in from high” and out of nowhere this BLKI dropped in and started interacting with the other gulls, competing for the fish chunks we were using as chum. It was fun watching its quick, snappy, wingbeats giving the impression of a bird on a mission. The bird circled several times giving amazing views but spent most of its time with us farther off, seemingly wary of the other, larger, gulls. At some point between 2:28-2:30 (2:28 is the time stamp of my last photo of this bird) it trailed off and landed in the water pretty far off and never came back. I took 166 photos of this bird.

I got much better looks at these than photos. They showed up on the port side of the boat and then went right under, surfacing on the starboard side not more that 10m away! By the time I got the camera up and on them, they’d moved a considerable distance and this is the best photo I managed to obtain.
