Huge! Found him digging up tree stumps. Doesn’t appear to have segmented legs, but he has six little nubbins.

Found several crayfish in a stream that I think has no public access points. No larger than maybe 3 inches, most closer to 2.

Pretty large, strikingly bright orange. It was working on a very small bit of webbing between two stones, almost touching the water. I saw it fall (intentionally?) onto its back in the water with two legs keeping it steady on its perch, kick its legs around, and pop back up. No clue what he was up to.

Seemed like maybe he was cold—it is in the high 70s and cloudy at the moment. Very sluggish, had to poke him to see if he was alive. I read online the best way to tell them apart from a Fowler’s toad is number of bumps per blotch. He’s not very blotchy, but he seems to only have one or two bumps per blotch.
