A pox on whomever introduced this evil being into my garden. How it found me in my surrounded-by-concrete and other urban infrastructure space I do not know, but after removing possibly 50 of these plants one spring I'm now down to just a few - but they are more persistent than almost anything I've ever dealt with (which is the cue for my equally down-but-not-out remaining stalks of Japanese knotwood to say "hold my beer")
