The tree to which it was attached died about 10-12 years ago and about 5 weeks ago the secondary trunk fell on its own without a wind event. I believe it was an ash tree but am uncertain because no leaves available for identification. No insect infestation noted. I’d appreciate a more positive identification. Thanks!

House plant Aloe Vera. The plant is over 10 years old. Rescued eight years ago at work went it was three small dying leaves. Now it appears ready to bloom. I’ve never seen this action before with aloe. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
