Dead on road, adult. I drove up this road beginning at about 6:45pm and it was not there, so it got ran over between 6:45pm - 8:51pm. There was another road killed adult less than a mile back on the road. Was bummed to see 3 road killed sidewinder’s tonight and no others actively crossing the road. Lots of vehicle traffic on this Saturday night, folks going to Dantes View to see the sunset and stars (the smoke from the wildfires was just about gone this evening. It keeps coming in and out of the valley.)

Dead on road, baby, 6 ish inches long. I drove up this road beginning at about 6:45pm and it was not there, so it got ran over between 6:45pm - 8:12pm. It was 76 degrees at 8:12pm, cooling down quickly. The last few times I’ve been on this road it’s usually 90 degrees right here. Lots of vehicle traffic on this Saturday night, folks going to Dantes View to see the sunset and stars (the smoke from the wildfires was just about gone this evening. It keeps coming in and out of the valley.)

February 21st, 2017 mid day (12-12:30pm ish). I was hiking and some fellow hikers that were in the trail told me, “there are 20 sheep over that way if you want to see them” I immediately perked up, and the couple walked me over where we could see the sheep, really far away in the distance, a cellphone picture would turn out horrible of them they were so far away. I sat on a boulder watching them, from a far, far away distance, trying to get pics on my cellphone but they were turning out horrible. Then the craziest thing happened. All the males kept getting closer, and closer, browsing on the plants. All the females and young ones kinda moved back up the mountain and out of view. The males kept eating with their heads down and kept walking closer. I stayed where I was, getting this picture on my cellphone. They came up so close to me, while I just sat there and watched them. I was crying so hard I was so happy!!!!! One of the best moments of my life. There were about 10 rams and the other group (I’m presuming all females, although they were so far away it was hard to catch all their genders) had about another 10 sheep. 20 ish total. This trail is known to have large groups of sheep like this every once in a while, and the sheep are pretty use to people due to the popularity of the trail.

I uploaded this to Facebook October 27th, 2011, and my caption was that I saw it that morning, so I know this must be the correct date. This was a road killed bobcat I saw while leaving the house and driving to school.

DOR. Does it look like it was pregnant to you? How the end of the tail is wide and then it becomes narrow. Or is that an indication of gender?

My buddy is back!!! 117 at 12:35pm. Drinking from a leaky swamp cooler next door. I put some water out for it too to see if s/he will take some. A morning dove was out front about 30 minutes ago too. Very smoky here from the fires. I think the closest is a fire in the sierra Nevada’s?

Such bad quality but still distinguishable I think. It was the size of a pencil or slightly longer, so I’m guess a juvenile.

Picked a random canyon to walk at dusk and immediately began seeing bighorn scat not too far from the road. Walked about 15 minutes back, turned around, and on my way back I see this young ram staring at me on the top of the canyon like “I’m hereeeee can you see me???” haha high 90’s temperature wise at 7:17pm, no sun touching us. Taken with my cellphone.
