This is an isolated Oregon white oak stand along Hwy 126 within the area burned by the Holiday Farm Fire, photo taken prior to the wildfire.

Wallowa Mountains, Lostine River. I believe this is B. lanceolatum in the strict sense, despite the reddish coloration on the common stalk not evident in the photo, but I could be persuaded otherwise by someone who is more familiar with these taxa.

Wallowa Mountains, Hurricane Creek drainage. According to Flora of the Pacific Northwest, B. yaaxudakeit also occurs in NE Oregon, so I am willing to defer to an alternative ID if the case can be made!
