wingless 3 sectioned insect (Perhaps a wingless wasp)

color: yellow/orange with black spots.

The insect was tappping on the ground with the last section of its body

half inch long

a dividing line and two black sections on the tail section. If I can see well, the middle section has a solid yellow/orange color, and the divider between section 1 and 2 there is a clear black bar.

Descripción

This unidentified tree is currently over 12 meters high. Leaves extend to 8 inches in length.

A local person stated it was called the Balsamo (accent over first a). However, it doesn't appear to have any resemblance to the two reported species.

Seed Pod popped open prior to observation, exposing the white beans. It appears to be a perennial bush. The seeds, it is unknown if they are edible. The branch, I don't believe, had a milky substance.

Located in a semi-clearing in a dry tropical forest, and within meters of a seasonal river (dry).

Salient feature: iridescent green side stripes.

Salient behavior: attracted to sound and moving disturbance. Although positioned with 2 meters of the iguana, when a small pebble was thrown nearby to move the creature, it moved TOWARD the object thrown, not away.

Spotted large female beetle in a thorned agave plant in San Juan del Sur. Used gardener's glove to gently remove arthropod for transfer to O Parks, WildLife, and Recreation. (search Ostional Private WildLife Reserve)

4 days later (10-24) spotted similar female beetle on a common driveway.
