Descripción

Shortly after sunset I saw a murder of crows flying north more or less along Williams Street in Burlington between College Street and Colchester Ave. I followed them to a group of trees between Colchester Ave and Loomis Street, and between North Prospect and Willard Streets. The murder flew from the roost and went south, eventually crossing Main Street.
I photographed the murder in flight taking two photos at a five second interval from my car at a stop light. Some 350 birds counted in one image. THe birds had been flying south in larger groups and the estimated number is the count in one image times 4. There were likely many more than that.
