FOUND THIS MINK IN MY DRIVEWAY THIS MORNING. iT WOULD APPEAR TO ME , DUE TO THE NECK WOUND, THAT IT WAS KILLED BY ANOTHER MINK. I OCCASIONALY SEE A MINK TRAVELING ALONG THE TUSCARAWAS RIVER, WHICH RUNS THROUGH MY YARD. THEY TEND TO STICK THEIR HEADS INTO EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY THEY CAN FIND.. I HATE TO SEE ONE KILLED LIKE THIS.

I watched a Ruby Throated Hummingbird paying attention to a Magnolia tree in my yard and decided to hang a feeder in the tree. When I pulled a branch down to attach the feeder I found a hummingbird nest. This explains why the bird was so interested in that tree.

This specimen was taken at sugar bait along the Tuscarawas River. It is a female, possibly an undescribed species very close to Lithophane scottae. It may actually be Lithophane scottae, but will remain unidentified for now. It may be the same species as the male specimen taken on Nov. 23, 2014 at the same location.
