Inspecting a Pardalote wildlife box. Nesting material evident through entrance, but no adults present on arrival.
Box opened thinking it was currently empty. Initial photos taken to demonstrate nest structure, then some whitewash seen at back of box. Camera placed in box to focus on what looked to be rear nesting chamber and final photo of 3 chicks taken.
At about this time one adult Striated Pardalote returned with food (possible lerp) in beck. Second bird arrived within a few minutes as box was closed and area vacated.
