Large Orb-weaver has made a big web just outside our kitchen window. It re-weaves the web most frequently, either every night or every second night. During the day there are about 3 accompanying Dewdrop spiders working away on their webs almost toughing the Orb-weaver web.
Our house is bound by NZ native bush on 2 1/2 sides and is fairly close to the sea.

Single ant in our lawn in front of out house. We do have these ants in quantity during summer, however now that we're into spring we'll no doubt see more. It had a white fungal growth on parts of the body.
