White breasted nuthatch that was whacking the bark of the tree with its bill. There was at least one other nuthatch nearby, there was a little call and response between at least the two of them. (NOTE: in second picture it is in the lower left corner on the trunk. in the third picture it is on the branch facing away from the camera but exposing it's white plumage on its underside)

There were about 6-8 Red-Winged Blackbirds in the tree line and around small pond. All had bright red bands on their wings. Vocalizing quite a bit to each other. ID by their very distinctive call.

Average size male cardinal vocalizing from underbrush. Plumage atypically duller and slightly browner on one side of breast. Only cardinal in the underbrush where it was found. The area had tall, younger trees and a small pond.
