Went out fishing and I see this beauty, never occured to me that I would see this plant (because they love water). I was scouting to see if there were any seeds but i didn't see any, probably because there prime pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies were nowhere in to be seen, literally I set there for 3 hours and didn't see anything.

Amazing, never thought I would see a Cow Killer in my lifetime, lessalong in my own backyard! I notice that if the ant (technically a wingless female wasp) felt threatened, it would make a weird squeaking noise, almost like a hiss.

Ants are about 1/8 of an inch, or about half a centimetre, and although hard to distinguish from the photograph, the ant does have reddish-orange rings on its abdomen. Was able to spot the stinger when she got stuck in some honey.
