In the parking lot of my hotel in Ukiah, Mendocino County. No time to check right now, but it’s my understanding that these are locally non-native and spreading in this part of California. Wondering if they compete with our native Saturn moth, the ceanothus silkmoth

Looks like my first post on iNaturalist! I’m an old-school professional biologist and I have other ways of curating locality data, but this observation really should get out there. A road-killed badger in a fairly well urbanized section of Hollister. Not infrequently seen on the outskirts of town to the south and east, but this badger had to waddle through a lot of suburban neighborhoods to get here. Sad to see him/her get hit.
