Attempted to disembowel a chicken before being shooed away, hence the bad photo. Distinctive cry as it was dive-bombed by local crows. Darkish, ruddy morph with grey on the breast and long, red-feathered legs. Perched atop redwoods and hunted in an open pasture. Huge!
