There were two, out in daylight looking for food amongst the ducks and gulls. Probably living in burrows along the pond bank. Were unafraid of humans as we approached and one ran past us at a distance of 0.5metres.

Flying around clay cliffs that also have native bees. Is it parasitic of their larvae?
Or is it a dragonfly?
Flight behaviour more characteristic of a wasp.

5 larvae on willow tree. next to stream and road on UNITEC campus. (Adults were found here in March 2017).

Observed two on North western side of the Te Awanga river mouth. Bellow high tide line. Conversations with a local suggests that they are new arrivals as of yesterday (9th July 2017) and 3 are in the area.

At least 7 adults were observed, on a willow tree infested with the giant willow aphid. Some collected by Mel Galbraith. Also observed by Craig Perkins and myself Chelsee Neverman.

Observed to be infesting a willow tree. With adult Harlequin ladybirds also present.

Two were sited on path down to lake edge and at least 6 were sited by Mel Galbraith 2 metres from waters edge.
Small in size, on dry parts of the track.
Also observed by Craig Perkins and my self, Chelsee Neverman.
