Locally common on margin of shell bank emerging from amongst Indian doab (Cynodon dactylon) and coastal immorality grass (Austrostipa stipoides). Presumanly the same species as this observation https://inaturalist.nz/observations/45202268. Stipe solid, annulus present near stip base, gills white, cap whitish more or less smooth (with a few warty protuberances), internal flesh white, not discolouring on contact with air or when bruised.

Not used to seeing this species in New Zealand with such a heavily divided fruiting body. Common on a decorticated Acacia log in reverting gumland scrub by Western Springs Stadium. Image taken using a torch - it was getting very dark by then - so not my best.

Too far gone to do anything with I imagine but posted because I have not seen before a large 'mushroom' in a saltmarsh system. These fruiting bodies all heavily browsed, were found in colonial aggregations of 5 or more at the bases of coastal immorality grass (Austrostipa stipoides) and Indian doab (Cynodon dactylon). This location would be frequently immersed in saltwater. So I am posting them more for the record than in the hope of an accurate identification.

I tried to make this a scale insect and then realised the cellular stricture looked very familiar....images of some of the larger ones noted on the adaxial surface of Lophomyrtus bullata (AK 274736, C.J. West 22 v 1985), many smaller ones present across leaf (some evident in these images).

Common on the adaxial leaf surface of Lophomyrtus bullata (AK 274736, C.J. West 22 v 1985). Sparingly fertile - most of the 'fruiting bodies' that appear evident in these images are actually dried out aggregations of oil from the drying leaves of Lophomyrtus! There is one in these sets of images that is an apothecia.

Thallus foliicolous, continuous, smooth, grey-white to greenish-white, without marginal prothallus, campylidia very uncommon, glaucescent, orientated in same direction, apothecia sparse, black, weakly pruinose
