These seem to be the 2 red tailed hawks that are nesting in the LA Coliseum. I saw them flying to this tree.

UPDATE: This hawk attacked a pigeon and was plucking feathers right on 39th Street ready to start eating, but the hawk had to get out of oncoming traffic and dropped the pigeon in a neighbor’s driveway and remarkably the pigeon was kind of alive and scurried under some discarded wood out of the hawk’s view. The hawk waited for 2 hours, but no pigeon. My neighbor found the poor pigeon this morning sort of alive and the poor hawk lost their lunch!

This hawk was hanging out on the nearby power lines for 2 hours after another hawk successfully captured a pigeon.

These are screenshots from video. A hawk attacked and killed a pigeon right on 39th Street and started plucking its feathers right there in the road with cars driving around it! It finally flew off with the pigeon, but another hawk hung around on the power lines for 2 hours! UPDATE: the hawk waiting around was the same hawk who attacked the pigeon! Unfortunately for the hawk and the pigeon, the hawk dropped the pigeon in a neighbor’s driveway and remarkably the pigeon was kind of alive and scurried under some discarded wood out of the hawk’s view. My neighbor found the poor pigeon this morning sort of alive and the poor hawk lost their lunch!
