My best guess is these are calls from a family of Broad-winged Hawks begging to be fed. There have been 2 or 3 individuals calling like this almost constantly over the last few days.

A nice big adult (female?). Had a damaged tail, scar on body (visible in photo 1), and one eye that was cloudy.

I believe this is a breeding pair - the larger of the two was following the other. It may be the same pair we saw here last year mating in our back yard.

This bat had a wound on its interfemoral membrane with a large portion of the membrane missing. The last couple caudal vertebrae were exposed, with some necrotic tissue/ infection present, and the calcar was completely separated from the membrane (see photo 3). Ick - poor bat.
