Spotted this on my drive home from work. Threw it in reverse real quick hoping I wasn't too late to move it off the road. But already deceased.

That's me (not a sasquatch) on an alligator capture-tag-release program on Bear Island, NC in the spring/summer of 1996. I loved gators before this day, but was totally hooked after holding my first juvenile and feeling the growl of an adult as I sat on her to be tagged (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/18369794). That weekend started my alligator addiction. See the online journal at www.williamwisephoto.com.

Although I've seen it in many other places, this little bugger has been evading my Walton County GA list for years. It is frustrating when a fairly common bird is a nemesis. Not any more! I heard it calling in a thick patch of woods and used playback to draw it out for a photo.

A Great Egret fishing on the pond appeared to have an injured leg. Its right leg hung limp each time it took off a flew to a different spot. The foot appeared to drag the water as it landed. I spotted it again the following day and the injury was the same. I'm not sure if this is the same Egret that has visited throughout the month and became injured, or if a different individual newly visiting.

Picked up this one out of a house on an animal control call. There was no bite or exposure so it was released after photographing.
