Earlier this year (Jan 2017) an owl took up an empty red hawk nest on the SE corner of the Watson building at the New York Botanical Garden. It laid 1(?) egg and a chick hatched from that egg (before 6 Mar 2017) On 12 Apr 2017 it fell down and landed on the ledge where it has been for the past 5 days. Its mother is continuing to feed it.
