Raised in a nature-loving family in Baltimore, Maryland. I got into the ID world through birds and birding, and really kicked it into high gear at the start of 2020. My inatting process often includes submitting observations with family/order level ID (or no ID at all) and identifying closer or all the way to species level on my phone from there. It's easier for numerous reasons. I mostly do this with insects.
